Mimi's Cafe - Corona, CA

Mimi's Cafe is a local chain with a bent toward French style food, and offers an eclectic choice, more so than expected with a place calling itself a cafe.

The Five Alarm Santa Fe Omelette is one of their signature items.  It is a French style omelette consisting of diced jalapeƱos, cilantro, tomatoes, onions, tortilla strips, jack cheese and chipotle sauce.  It's name would lead you to believe it was incredibly spicy but at best it was a medium level spiciness. The eggs themselves were cooked properly, intact on the outside while remaining creamy on the inside. Other than that, the omelette did not distinguish itself with any bold flavors expected of a signature item.  The ingredients did not work in synergy to create a memorable omelette.

Service was quite good but the food was pricey for the quality.

Restroom Rating:  Didn't use.

  1. Mimi's Cafe is great! Corona is also known for its sushi believe it or not! One of the best spots is actually Momo Sushi in Corona.
