Fortune Chinese Restaurant - West Allis, WI

The clientele at Fortune was predominately Chinese which is a good sign.  Many Chinese restaurants in the Milwaukee area tend to have customers other than.

Prix Fixe dinner for two plus a Orange Pork Chop.  The Crispy Chicken was crispy but the white meat overly dry. The Pepper and Beef was tasty but a little cold despite the sizzling hot plate. The tofu dish was also on the cold side and the tofu a little too hard.

The Orange Pork Chop was a disappointment. They were strips of bland lukewarm pork with a mild orange sauce. The pork chops weren't pork chops and the pork should have stood out with flavor without any help from the orange sauce.

Soup as part of the prix fixe dinner. The best dish of the dinner.

Despite the comments above, the food overall was very good for Chinese food in Milwaukee but Fortune would have to put forth a better effort if in Chicago or Toronto. Service was stereotypical.

Restroom Rating: 6.6. In need of modernizing.
