McDonald's - Appleton, WI
The great thing about McDonald's is that you pretty much know what you're going to get. The business model is standardized. The real difference is the workers, their attitudes, and the quality and care of the food assemblers. Do they slap it together or do they care? Sometimes the food is good, sometimes unexpectedly good but usually it's about par.
This Appleton McDonald's made their McDoubles better than par. It felt clean and didn't have that dingy greasy slippery feel. The tables were free of the dreaded towel wiped streaked wet residue. Even late night it had a steady flow of drive through traffic.
