Ikea Restaurant, Bistro & Swedish Food Market - Portland, OR

Word association.  Ikea. Food?  No, the response would be Swedish or furniture.  But you will find a cafeteria at Ikea and on a Saturday morning before the store area opens, the parking lot had a surprising number of cars.

There's plenty of miserly folks looking for a bargain priced meal, even lower cost than McDonald's.

I believe this was called the American Breakfast plate or something like that even though it included the Swedish pancakes with lingonberry. The potatoes were overcooked. The sausage had a low quality crumbly texture with a hint of chemical/preservative aftertaste. The pancakes were on the rubbery side. The eggs were the best item, cooked right if on the bland side. Overall, it was not the highest quality but for under $3, this can't be beat.  Minus the pancakes, the platter sells for under $1!

Restroom Rating: 8.4.  The Swedes insist of minimalism and cleanliness.

May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you. 1 Thess. 3:12
