Rachel's Cafe & Creperie - Lancaster, PA
You wouldn't figure an eatery serving what is typically viewed as breakfast food to be busy in the evening but Rachel's certainly was. The savory crepes were the ones to dine on for dinner.
No added sugar. It tasted flat and was missing a certain round taste.
Smoked Salmon Crepe is as the menu describes dill-infused crepe, with smoked salmon, capers, red onions, and cream cheese. I was looking for something light tonight and the crepe itself was light but it was so heavy with cream cheese. My ignorance. It was light on salmon and even it was light on salmon it was a good thing because the salmon was heavy on salt. The capers added to the saltiness. More red onions would have my preference and would have toned down the saltiness and provided more textural contrast.
Bottom line: The crepe per se was good but I wasn't enamored with the filling.
