Arnold's Country Kitchen - Nashville, TN

Even before noon, a long line had formed inside and it appeared everybody knew what they wanted except us.  Luckily the wait was sufficient for us to make up our minds.

Yup.  Everybody's impatient to get there food waiting in a long line.

Chicken Dumpling and Three.  Let me get it out of the way.  The portions are small for us now overfeed buffet overdosed Americans. It may look like a lot of food but its small portioned. The cabbage and mashed potatoes were excellent, some of the best I've had. The collard greens weren't at the same level.

The chicken dumpling was the favorite entree. Well infused with flavor and pepper.  Tender chunks of chicken balanced with the dumplings. I could had a double sized bowl.

Banana Pudding. The first real homemade pudding I've had. It was fantastic.

Cajun Meat Loaf.  The meat loaf was a let down. Not spicy, not so moist. I had expected a lot from southern style cooking. The sweet potatoes were overdosed in molasses.

This is some good old southern cooking, probably what one expects from home. One plate was a definite winner, the other so so.

Restroom Rating:  Didn't use.

"Can anyone hide in secret places so that I cannot see them?" declares the Lord. "Do not I fill heaven and earth?" declares the Lord. Jeremiah 23:24
